Things we should consider before buying a smartphone for gaming- List of some budget gaming smartphones
Hi guys, This is TechyGeekster and today we will be talking about what specifications a smartphone must have such that one can have a good gaming experience. So here we go..
There are many things we should consider when we are buying a smartphone for gaming. Its not like that we have to spend a lot of money and only the high-end smartphones can do a descent amount of gaming. Even the mid-range and budget smartphones can also perform a very good gaming if they follow the below points which I am going to discuss just now.

1. Processor- CPU and GPU
There are a lot of myths regarding the CPU aspect as many buyers think that they need the latest Hexa-core or Octa-core processors in order to perform a descent gaming but let me tell you its not like this as even a Quad-core processor is enough for this.
From my point of view the main thing that counts for a gaming smartphone is its GPU so before buying any smartphone for gaming always have a look on its GPU and Google as much info as you can get about it regarding its clock speed and the games it supports smoothly. Also you can compare the GPU of the smartphone you are buying with some of the renowned gaming smarthphones. So GPU consideration is a must point.
2. RAM (Random Access Memory)
Also when it comes to RAM we don't need 3 GB or 4 GB of RAM. Even 1 or 1.5 GB of RAM is enough to perform a descent gaming. But according to today's scenario to be on the safer side I would suggest that consider having a smartphone with at least 1.5 GB or higher as we don't know what high end game we are getting the very next day. So we should be well prepared before hand.
3. Screen Size
It is basically your game-play area so its your personal opinion that how bigger Screen Size you want. As I have used many smartphones with varied range of screen sizes so in my opinion I would say smartphones with 4.5 inch of screen are not good for descent gaming as fingers from both your hands are to move on the screen and it isn't feasible to move on such a smaller size. So a basic requirement of screen size for a gaming smartphone would be 4.75 inch and above. Also if you have large hands then you must go for 5.5 inch screen size.
4. Screen Resolution
For this thing also I would say you don't need a very higher screen resolution like 2K (2048*1080) or the 1080p. Although its good to have a 1080p screen display but 720p screen resolution is fair enough to have a good gaming experience. Also its a fact that higher the screen resolution is the more load it will put on the GPU and more the load it will put on GPU more the smartphones will get heat up. So in the mid-range or budget market a 720p screen resolution will be a good choice.
5. Miscellaneous
- Battery life should be good enough as you are to perform a lot of gaming and you don't want to run out of battery very frequently.
- Internal Storage should not be less than 16 GB. A 32 GB would be perfect though.
