Mandela Effect- All You Need To Know About

Today time a lot of strange things is happening and Mandela effect is one of them. The “Mandela effect” is what happens when someone has a clear personal memory of something that never happened in this reality. Many people remember several of exact same events with exact same details and those memories are different from what in history books and newspaper.

Many people assume that parallel universe or any alternative universe exists around our universe and we have been sliding between them without realizing it. These memories are coming from those universes. Some people believe that people have made the time machine and go back in time and have done some things that’s why many of memories have changed.

Origin of Mandela effect

In 2010 blogger Fiona Broome coined the term “Mandela effect”. She describes her memory with Nelson Mandela death where many people believed that South Africa President Nelson Mandela died during his imprisonment in the 1980 but in reality, he died on 5 December 2013. She said “see, I thought Nelson Mandela died in prison. I thought I remembered it clearly, complete with news clips of his funeral, the mourning in South Africa, some rioting in cities, and the heartfelt speech by his widow. Then, I found out he was still alive.”


Some Examples of Mandela effects:-

1. The tip of Pikachu’s tail isn’t black.

People remember a black mark on Pikachu’s tail but if you take a look at Pikachu’s tail now you will see nothing there. How so many people can remember a black tail Pikachu that doesn’t actually exist.
2. Curious George never had a tail.

Peoples also claim to remember seeing curious George monkey use his tail to swing from trees. But if you look him now you will see that he doesn’t have a tail. No one knows how they remember tail of George that doesn’t exist.

3. People think the Mona Lisa is smiling now but she was emotionless.

A lot of people remember that Mona Lisa has changed because they remember her straight face but now her face is smiling.

4. Kit Kat doesn’t have a dash.


Some people remember there is a dash in kit kat, making it    “kit-kat” but there isn’t one and people are sure that once upon a time there was a dash between kit-kat.
5. Jiffy peanut butter becomes jif.


People remember the popular brand of peanut butter being called “jiffy” but now it’s called “jif”. They have no idea how jiffy become jif.

6. Fruit Loops is actually spelled Froot Loops.


Some say “Fruit Loops” changed to “Froot Loops” and while other believe it changes from “Froot Loops” to “Fruits Loops”.

7. “Looney Tunes” being spelled “Looney Toons”.


Another popular memory involves many folks remembering the logo for the cartoon series “Looney Tunes” being spelled “Looney Toons”.

8. Hand of “the Thinker” statue change.


Many people believe that hand of “The Thinker” statue was on the forehead but now it’s on the chin. No one knows how a statue changes his hand from his forehead to his chin.

9. Dialogue change in Forest Gump movie.

People remember that his mama always said “Life is like a box of chocolates” but it turns out that she actually said, “life was like a box of chocolates”.

10. The Great wall of India.


Everyone knows about the Great Wall Of China but a few people know that 36km long second largest wall also present in India. Some people claim that it is a Mandela effect because how is possible that such a big wall no one know about it and suddenly it appears.

11. Some car logos are also changed.
